TO THE TEACHERS: Activities related to the first unit ('Two Ants' ) of the English reader for STD.1 Major characters of the theme were introduced and some simple words and sentences were given for graphic reading and writing. The first letter of the English alphabet 'A' was also familiarised. We need to give children more learning experiences related to these activities for children. Some practical activities and materials are suggested here today. Teachers are requested to select the most appropriate ones for their children before sending them to the class groups.
