Diseases can be prevented by daily intake of colourful vegetables and fruits like those found in the rainbow.

♦ What are some benefits of the rainbow diet? 
A diet containing fruits and vegetables of different colours provides a variety of nutrients that improve our health and boost our immunity. 

♦ What is junk food?
Food items which are high in calories and low in nutritional value.

♦ What are some junk food items that you know?
Packet food, Bakery snacks, Soft drinks like cola and packaged juice, packaged noodles, ------

♦ Good eating habits
1. Make it a habit to eat at least an hour after physical exercise.
2. Never skip breakfast.
3. Avoid junk food as much as possible.
4. Chew your food slowly, taking time.
5. Drink only water that is boiled and cooled.
6. Have dinner early. Dinner should be taken at least two to three hours before going to bed.
7. Have vegetables and fruits as light meals at intervals.

♦ As fifth standard students, how much water should you drink?
2 to 3 litres

♦ What do you do to maintain personal hygiene?
• Washing hands before and after food using soap. 
• Wash your hands with soap after using the toilet.
